Privacy Statement
7 Day Genius, LLC ("7 Day Genius," "www.7daygenius.com," "us," "we," or "our") appreciates your visit to our online and mobile resources. We use "you" and "your" to refer to visitors and users of our online and mobile resources who are over the age of 13. This privacy statement explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and how we protect it.
Online and mobile resources refers to the websites and internet features we own that allow interaction with our services, as well as any applications we create and distribute.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information from visitors and users of our online and mobile resources, customers who purchase our products and services, and third-party vendors and business partners with whom we have contractual relationships.
Personal information means information that identifies you or can be readily linked to you, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth. Where privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") or the European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") apply, our use of "personal information" includes the elements required by those laws.
The categories of information we collect and how we use it varies depending on your relationship with us. This statement primarily addresses personal information collected from visitors to our online and mobile resources and our customers.
We collect and retain professional and employment-related information from workforce members and job applicants as you would expect from any employer. We provide required notices and describe our practices regarding such information in internal human resource documents accessible to workforce members and applicants.
We also collect certain personal information from vendors and business partners in connection with our contractual and business relationships. We use and share such information to manage and perform under our contracts with them. Our use of vendor and business partner information is described in our contracts with those parties.
Sources of Personal Information
We obtain two types of information from you online: (i) non-personal information collected automatically from each visitor, such as your device operating system, and (ii) personal information that you voluntarily provide or that is collected automatically.
By using our online and mobile resources or purchasing our products or services, you agree to this privacy statement and our use and disclosure of your information as described.
Information You Voluntarily Provide
When you participate in certain activities through our online and mobile resources, you may be asked to provide personal information. This includes identifiers such as your name, email address, physical address, and phone number, as well as financial information such as credit card details. We do not sell, rent, or trade voluntarily submitted personal information with third parties.
If you prefer not to provide this information, please do not participate in activities that request it. You may contact us by phone or mail instead. Non-participation may limit your access to certain features but will not affect your ability to access publicly available information on our online and mobile resources.
Ways you may voluntarily provide personal information include:
Emails and Online Forms: When you send us an email or complete an online form, we retain your email address and any personal information in your message to respond to your request. Depending on the information provided, we may contact you via email, telephone, or text message. We may also send you information about products or services we believe may interest you.
Account Registration: When you register for an account, you submit personal information such as your name and email address. We use this information to create and manage your account, establish your profile, and communicate with you.
Event Registration: When you register for webinars, events, or programs we host, you submit identifiers and possibly payment information. We use this information to register you and send related communications.
Subscription Services: Information provided by customers is used to fulfill our contractual obligations, provide purchased products and services, manage accounts, and communicate with customers.
Social Media and Community Features: Some of our resources offer community features allowing users to post messages, comments, or upload files. Information you post through these features, including your screen name and any personal information, becomes public and is not protected by this statement.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our online and mobile resources, basic information is collected automatically through your web browser using tracking technologies such as cookies. A cookie is a small text file downloaded to your device that allows us to recognize your device and store information about your preferences.
We allow third-party vendors to use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activities. For example, we use Google Analytics to analyze how you use our resources. For more information about how Google uses this data, visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. You can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Information collected through cookies includes the domain name and IP address from which you accessed our resources, your browser type and operating system, the date, time, and duration of your visit, pages visited, documents downloaded, links accessed, and referring sites.
If you access our resources from a mobile device, your mobile services provider may transmit device identification information to us. We may collect mobile phone numbers and associate them with device identification. Some mobile vendors also transmit physical location data if location services are enabled on your device. To prevent collection of geolocation data, disable location services in your device settings.
We use automatically collected information to compile reports about popular pages, understand how visitors access our resources, administer and improve our online and mobile resources, and enhance functionality by remembering your information to save you time.
We retain personal information in accordance with applicable law and as long as necessary to carry out the purposes described in this statement.
External Sites, Apps, Links, and Social Media
We maintain a presence on external social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Our resources may connect with or be viewable from those platforms and may contain links to third-party websites or apps.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of social media platforms or third-party sites and apps. Those platforms and sites have their own privacy policies and terms of use. If you have questions about their practices, review their privacy policies and contact them directly.
When and With Whom We Share Personal Information
We use non-personal information to administer our online and mobile resources, improve them, and make business decisions about programs our customers might like.
We use voluntarily provided personal information to respond to inquiries and provide requested services. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-party data vendors or marketing companies. We disclose information when required by law.
Affiliates: We may share your information within our family of companies. Those companies will use such information in generally the same manner as we do under this statement, including sending you information about products or services that may interest you.
Legally Compelled Disclosures: We may disclose your information to government authorities and other third parties when compelled to do so, or as otherwise required or permitted by law, including in response to court orders and subpoenas.
To Prevent Harm: We may disclose your information when we have reason to believe someone is causing injury to or interference with our rights or property, other users, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities.
Business Transfer: If we or our affiliates are acquired by one or more third parties through acquisition, merger, sale, reorganization, consolidation, or liquidation, personal information may be among the transferred assets.
Vendors and Business Partners: We may share your information with vendors and other third parties with whom we have contractual relationships. We disclose only the information each party needs.
We have adopted standards for vendors and business partners who receive personal information from us. We attempt to bind them contractually to these standards, restricting their use of personal information to the extent necessary to carry out the business purpose for which it was provided. We cannot guarantee that all vendors and business partners will agree to these requirements or fully comply even when they do agree.
